Clear the Shelters Adoption Day

Furgotten Friends Dog Rescue is participating in the national campaign to "Clear the Shelters"!

On Saturday August 24th, between 12 & 4pm we will have all our "rescues" available for "meet & greets" at our wonderful sponsor Petco, located at:

And as we are participating in the "Clear the Shelters" campaign, we want to fully support the goal of clearing the shelters by making a very special pitch to help find forever homes for several of our favorite rescue's who have been patiently waiting for their forever homes!

To help us reach that goal, several of our sponsors have graciously offered to pickup all the fees associated with our adoption process! So all that's necessary is for you to make that initial connection & you are on your way to establishing that special bond & love that dogs give to us freely.

Banzai is part of a litter that tends to be strong and bossy. However, this boy is looking for his place in the world, a bit unsure of where he fits in. He tends to be submissive, but does play well with other dogs. He'd do best with an experienced owner who can help him develop his personality.

Weimaraner/Lab mix 4 year old neutered male.

Bertho came to us from an overcrowded rescue in Mazatlán, Mexico, where he was dumped when he was just a month old. Despite his shaky start in life, he's a very sweet, loving youngster who loves to play with other dogs. He's pretty active, so apartment living isn't the best option. He doesn’t have much patience for kids, so an adult only home would work out best.

Mufasa has a very strong personality. One of the biggest in a litter of 7, he can be stubborn and a bit bossy. He'll need a strong handler who is willing to get some formal training to bring out the best in this guy. Looks like he'll be somewhere between 65-80 pounds when he's all grown up.

Zazu has great potential with the right owner. He's dominant and stubborn and would do best with an experienced family. Obedience training is a must and he needs to be able to blow off steam, so a family with a yard would be highly recommended. We think he'll grow to anywhere from 65-80 pounds - apartment living is probably not the best environment for Zazu.

These are 4 rescue's that have been with us the longest. They had the resilience & will to survive some bad situations before they made their way to our rescue(shelter)! So while building & re-growing that bond will require a dedicated & somewhat experienced dog owner, these 4 dogs as well as the rest of our rescue's, deserve a loving forever home. If you and your family have an active and/or outdoor lifestyle, these guys can be a perfect fit.

No relationship is built without some work and commitment. But we know that there is a great group of folks in our community that love dogs and recognize the value that our relationship with dogs brings to us and our families!

So please consider visiting us at Petco this Saturday and take a few moments to see if there's a potential relationship just waiting to be built between you and one of our rescue's? Especially these 4 deserving dogs!

See you on Saturday! We guarantee on-site love, licks, pets & paws!
