We are saddened to report that we lost Jax on over the weekend.
Jax was a poodle rescue that worked his way into our hearts during the short time he was with us. As most of you know, many of our rescues come to us with medical & health issues and when we first receive a rescue, our immediate priority is determining what issues the rescue has and getting immediate treatment for any problems that they have. Once the rescue has been given a good bill of health & is vaccinated by our veterinary support team, then the rescue is posted online for adoption by our incredible & amazing group of supporters.
Unfortunately while in rescue quarantine, there are times when medical issues are not immediately apparent or manifest slowly. In Jax case, unknown to us & not seen in x-rays, he had ingested items that slowly caused digestive clogging and serious infection.
We engaged the best veterinary/animal hospital support in the area, but sadly despite their best efforts the growth of the internal infection and the impact of the surgeries was simply to much for our beloved Jax and we made the decision to let him cross the over the "bridge" peacefully.
As you might imagine, the emergency medical costs we incurred in trying to save Jax are now a heavy burden on the rescue's financial status. So we are reaching out to all our rescue supporters for donation help with this unexpected expense. There is additional information on our facebook page regarding the medical bills incurred.
We welcome any amount that you can donate to help with this unexpected expense!
We love all of our rescue's and anytime you lose a dog it leaves a hole in your heart. But for some reason Jax just had that unique personality that made you love him. We are so very heartbroken, but we remain determined to continue our rescue efforts for every dog we can!
Thank you again for any donation you make! Every amount matters to us & our rescues!
